letter

Family hey how is everything going back home.  I hope its all good.  You might all be freezing now.  It's still better then sweating to death haha.  No just kidding it seems like it has been a little cooler here lately so that is nice.  I really hope you are getting a lot of snow finally and riding the snowmobiles alot.  If not you will just have to wait for me to get some use out of them.  For all I know is that the twins are doing good so far at least that was the last thing I heard.  I am sure they are being spoiled like nobody's business.  I can only imagine the amount of clothes you guys have bought for them.  They will keep you all busy for the next few months and then Kandice will have hers and you will be busy again.  There will be lots of new little people when I get home.  It should be fun.  Well as for me we had a pretty good week so on Monday was p-day, we emailed and then after we had to go to the office for Elder Schenk to get an interview with President.  It seemed to help a little.  President just told him to follow me and it went better on Tuesday.  We had a good day and taught a lot of lessons.  They scheduled him a doctors appointment.  I guess he struggles with depression so we went to the hospital on Wednesday to see a specialist for him.  One of the nicest hospitals I have ever seen in my life.  They said like one of the top 20 hospitals in the world.  So that was cool.  I didn't feel like I was in the Philippines anymore.  Later that night we had dinner with Tatay Eudela.  He added you all on facebook.  He is way cool and way nice.  He will take pictures of me and post them for you every week.  We had to eat Balut again which I still don't like.  It just don't taste that good.  Thursday we had some good lessons.  Elder Schenk tried again but we got him through it and kept going.  Friday we had a service project.  We helped some old lady pick her weeks in her garden then we had weekly planning.  It took a long time because Elder Schenk is struggling.  I feel like a counselor sometimes.  He is really worried he might just have to go home so I talked to him about it.  Saturday had a good day and taught a few lessons and he seemed to be doing a little bit better.  O yeah on Friday night I cooked my first Pinoy dinner.  It turned out alright.  It was really spicy less peppers next time.  So Sunday was a good day we had lots of people at church other than Sister Timmy didn't come.  She will be baptized soon.  They just have to get married.  Brother Aris worked with us after church.  He is really good at teaching.  I really like the dude.  He is so dedicated to the church it is awesome.  We found a new family of 4 to teach.  They were nice and open to us so it was a good day.  That was my week.  A little different than normal but Okay.  I hope everything is going well for you all.  Enjoy the winter while you have it.  Before ya know it it will be spring again and back in the tractors.  Thanks for everything you all do.  Love you all.  Love Elder Robison

December 9-15, 2013

Family hey how are things going back home.  I hope things are going well.  Last I heard was things are good and that Rachel is ready to have the babies really soon.  Maybe she has had them and I just haven't heard yet.  If so hopefully everything went good.  By the time this gets there Christmas will probably be over so hopefully it all went good and that you had fun.  It will be nice to be able to talk to you guys.  I think you said your going up to the cabin too so that should be way fun.  Get some snowmobiling in for the year.  Sounds like you guys are getting quite a bit of snow ha your all really lucky so enjoy the snow.  I will be there next year with you all.  I might freeze to death.  My trainer emailed me and he lives in Arizona and he said he is freezing there so that will just be something I will have to adjust to.  It's still fun away though so no need to worry about that.  I will request some pictures from snowmobiling.  Well we had a good week here.  On Monday was p-day so we emailed and just relaxed for a little bit.  Nothing to crazy our pdays are pretty boring.  We have not much to do in this area.  Tuesday was our Christmas conference party for the mission.  We all got together.  They had a little program then we did like skits and play things that we had to prepare.  After that we got to watch a Christmas movie.  Kinda nice after not seeing a movie for a year.  After the movie we played games that was the conference we got our packages.  I thought I got my Christmas package but it was from Halloween so no Christmas package yet.  Maybe next time.  Wednesday and Thursday just regular work days just getting everything ready for the baptisms.  We did a little finding found 4 new people to teach.  Hopefully they progress.  I probably won't be here to see it.  I have a feeling I will transfer.  Friday we went on splits.  I went and worked with Elder Maneles a missionary from Tacloban.  He is cool.  he claims he has been seeing spirits and stuff so he is a little skeptical and quiet but nice kid.  Then Saturday was the baptism.  They were all so excited.  It took a little while to get it started but we got it done.  Sister Jamelano was so excited when she came out of the water she started jumping up and down all excited and stuff.  Then Kristine came our and ???? again and again.  They were all so happy.  It was a good day later that night we had dinner with the Natividad family.  They gave me a gift because they think I am leaving for sure.  Sunday well just church they all got confirmed so its official now.  Even Brother Natividad came so that was good.  he is a huge punk.  Church was good though they were all so happy.  Later that night we ate dinner at Sister Joys house so that our week.  We finished here off good with some baptisms so that was good.  A good way to end the transfer and Christmas.  This time of year should be all about Jesus Christ not gifts and stuff but Christ himself.  Its a great time of year.  I hope you all had a good Christmas.  I love you all thanks for everything you all do.  Merry Christmas Love Elder Robison

December 2-8, 2013

Family Hey how is everyone doing hopefully doing good and enjoying some snow if you got any. Well I don't really know what you all are doing for Christmas. I think Rachel is getting close to having babies but I am not sure. If so good luck with that. As for me I don't know what I will be doing for Christmas. I could get transferred on the 18th right before Christmas and be in a new area where I don't know anyone. I think that is what will end up happening. I have been here forever. Hopefully skype and all that works out really good so we can chat for awhile. It might be hard for me to find a computer shop that is open but I will try. Tell everyone Merry Christmas for me. I am sure you will end up at the cabin at some point soon. Tell me if there is a lot of snow or not and if your riding snowmobiles or whats going on. So this will probably be your Christmas letter sorry nothing to exciting. So well I'll just tell you about my week and whats been going on. So Monday was p-day and it was good just relaxed and got some stuff done. Emailed and it was good. Later that night we had FHE with the Natividad family and Sister Leni came. Of course Brother Natividad had to be a punk the whole time with smart aleck answers and stuff but it was good. Tuesday we had our zone conference in Quezon City. It was fun to see everyone they. they fed us then we just do a bunch of workshops and stuff we didn't get home until late that night. Wednesday back to work we went and taught Sis Jamelano, Leni, Cristian, and Darcel. We are trying to get them ready for their interviews. I think they will do fine. Thursday we went to the harder side of our area and tried to find some people. Not a lot of luck we did find these people, 3 guys they let us teach and it seemed to go well. That was about it for that day. Friday we went and did a review of the interviews to everyone. They will do good I feel that they are all ready. Saturday we were going to go back to those guys we found so we text them and then they dropped us so back to finding more. We went and tried to get into some rich subdivisions but the security guards wouldn't let us in so we are going to try and talk to the home owners association and see if they will let us in. If they will it will open up lots of opportunities. Sunday well everyone showed up and they all passed their interviews so next week we should have 4 baptisms. They all did good and are excited for next week. After that just regular church then later that night we had FHE with Sis Joy and their family. It was good a short lesson, food, games so that was my week. Nothing to crazy. Things are still on track for the baptisms. Well thank you all for everything. Have a good Christmas. I am sure I will hear all about it will love you thanks for everything again. Love Elder robison

November 25-December 1, 2013

Family hey how is everyone doing back at home. I hope your all having a great holiday season. Christmas is coming up soon and I'll be able to call home so that will be good. We will have to schedule when you guys want me to or what not. I just hope there is a computer shop open on Christmas so we can do the Skype thing again. Need to do it now because it will come fast. I am sure there is a lot of snow now so that should be fun. I expect to see some pictures of it all. Well this week nothing to crazy been going on just trying to get our investigators ready for December 14th so we have been really focused on them. They will be interviewed next week. Nothing to exciting just teaching so on Monday we went and taught Ferdz and Jesse. They are two new guys we met that are open to listen to us so we are excited to see what goes on there with all of that stuff. We tried to do some more finding after that. No luck though. Tuesday we went and taught Darcel, Leni, Cristian and Sister Jemelano. They are all doing good and I love to teach them and see them start to change and build a relationship with Heavenly father. So far all are on track for their baptisms so that was Tuesday, Wedne3sday was finally our p-day and we got to go to the temple. I really do love every chance I get to go to the temple. It's really just a different place like nothing else in the world. After that we went to the mall and got lunch. Actually that morning I got to drink some real milk. It was amazing, so good. We then went and emailed it was late though not very many people emailed but its good. Thursday, back to work we went and taught everyone again. We are kind of in a hurry with them so we are trying to teach them as much as possible. It was Thanksgiving. I got to eat some McDonalds for my Thanksgiving so kind of lame but after that night some people from New Mexico they brought us turkey, potatoes, pie and rolls and milk again. Real milk. So we all sat down and had Thanksgiving dinner on Friday. We had to do some weekly planning. It took a little long but it was alright. The day before we ran out of time and didn't get to teach Darcel so that is where we went Friday and tried some finding. The Natividad family fed us that night. Then Saturday same thing we went out and taught them all again. They are doing good. We didn't catch Cristian. She wasn't home yet. I really hope we can get everything taught to them and review for their interviews. If not we might have to move them back a little but I think we can do it. They are understanding so well and learning very fast. Sunday again everyone was there so its all going good and they are all on track so that was my week. Just been the same for awhile now. Well have a great Christmas season. Get some good use out of the cabin for me and the snowmobiles. Tell everyone hi and have a good week. Love you all Love Elder Robison

November 18-24, 2013

Family hey everyone how are you all doing. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Last I heard was you were all going to the cabin for the week. I am really excited to hear all about it and how much snow and what you all did while up there. Hopefully some pictures of snowmobiling will show up here one day. Just saying I can't believe it will be December when this letter gets to you. I am getting really close to my half way point. next Christmas I could be flying home. Still a ways away but its all good. It's kind of weird I am still only in my second area. There is so much I haven't seen of our mission. People keep joking that this will be my last area. Its going good though we got 4 people coming up with baptisms before the end of the transfer. We have had a different week than normal which was kind of nice. Monday was our p-day like any other day. We emailed ate lunch but nothing to crazy. Later that night we went to a going away party for the Elison family. They are moving. I will miss them. They feed us every Monday night. We got home and we got a text from the AP's that we needed to be in the big city in the morning. A big TV station invited us to come to a service project at their studio so that's what we did on Tuesday. We got there and there was tons of famous people. Famous here you guys won't know them. Some members said they saw me on TV so that was cool. The famous people were pretty cool they just worked with us all day. We didn't get home until late but the AP's text again. The TV place asked us to come back. They said we were the fastest people at loading stuff and they really needed our help again. So we went back on Wednesday. No famous people this time but we worked all day. I loved it, it was so much fun and felt good to do real work. Again we didn't get home until late. The very next day I had to go to the mission home for District Leader training. It was good lots of cool elders there and they fed us lunch but again I didn't get home again until late. I was pretty tired after all this. Thursday finally back to some regular teaching and stuff. We went and taught Cristian, Sis Jameluno, Darcel. They are all doing really good and I love to see the look on their faces when they feel the spirit. They get so happy to have us there. That was Thursday, Friday we went back to them but only Sister Jamelano was there. It turns out there was some Young Womens Celebration or something so everyone went to that which is good that our investigators are involved with activities and things with the church. We did end up finding two richer dudes that want us to come back and teach them. They live in this fancy place we have wanted to go into forever but couldn't. They have guards all over so now we have a reason to get in. Sunday just regular church everyone came but Sister Leni so the baptisms are all still good so that was good. After church we had meetings then just dinner. So that was my week. Started out good with service and ended alright. I really hope everything goes good for our investigators. I know the gospel can truly help their lives in all aspects. So far so good though thanks for everything and all the support. Have a great week. Love you all. Love Elder Robison
